The School of Acts, Indonesia

From 8-12 September I taught in the School of Acts in Semarang, Indonesia. There were 120 students in the morning sessions where I taught on "Pastoral Care" and 200 students in the evening sessions when my topic was "Getting Ready for the Wedding" from Rev.19:7.

The morning sessions, where the students are drawn from all regions of Indonesia, took place in a Christian prayer retreat called Getsemani.

FAME AT LAST, SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS. NOW I KNOW WHAT ELVIS FELT LIKE.

TEACHING IN THE EVENING SESSION

In the evenings the location was the Holy Stadium of Gereja Injil Kerajaan (Gospel of the Kingdom Church). This is a vibrant church with attendances of 6-7,000 in each of its three services, one on Saturday evening and two on Sunday. The church has a Christian school with 2,000 students, a daily outreach to 3,500 street kids, giving them food and education, and a team of 20 who reach out to homosexuals and transvestites, among many other activities.

The students, both morning and evening, were so hungry for the word they just drew it out of me, making it so easy to teach. What a privilege - and heaven to follow.
